About the position

Monumental is automating on-site construction with cutting-edge robotics and software. Our mission is to redefine construction through software and robots. We aim for a future where beautiful, bespoke buildings are built within a single day with minimal labour. We're a growing team (about 40 team members) of mostly engineers and technicians, coming from companies like Palantir, Qualcomm, Dyson, Shopify, Tesla, and Meta, that are looking to expand the operational part of our business. We're still in the first days of building the company, and this is a unique opportunity to be an early employee in a high-growth, high-ambition startup environment. From Day 1, you'll be able to work with an experienced founding team backed by top-tier investors. We are seeking an Executive Assistant to support our CEO and leadership team with a wide range of strategic and operational tasks. As we scale, we need someone versatile enough to handle tasks ranging from executive support, coordinating schedules and managing special projects. This role requires strategic insight and tactical execution: you will have significant autonomy to tackle priority projects, embodying an ownership mentality and a willingness to dive into any task, no matter how small.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support to the CEO, including managing email, calendars, communications, errands, and travel arrangements.
  • Assist in preparing agendas, meeting notes, action items and follow through, and various internal and external communication.
  • Coordinate and project manage one-off special projects, e.g. a website update, or a deep dive into a legal question, with various stakeholders.
  • Get involved in various office management and administrative tasks for the wider team, including collection of invoices and financial records to support VAT returns, managing the application process for residence permits, tracking and coordinating WBSO (Dutch R&D tax credit) claims.
  • Constantly looking for ways to improve our workplace experiences and processes.

Requirements

  • An energetic individual who excels at execution and getting things done.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a strong eye for detail.
  • You have the innate ability to 'figure things out': you are resourceful, persistent, and able to constantly unblock yourself, even when you encounter novel problems and situations.
  • You are tech savvy. We don't expect you to be an engineer but you are comfortable adopting new tools quickly and you're aware of all the best practices in supporting a high-tech company.
  • You know how and when to over-communicate and naturally close loops. People almost never have to check-in on you.
  • Comfortable with multitasking and switching contexts throughout the day.
  • High empathy to imagine what might make a day in the life of a team member more smooth and efficient.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English & Dutch.
