About the position

The Executive Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Tanger plays a crucial role in providing executive, administrative, and development support. This position is designed to facilitate the COO's ability to lead the operations of the company effectively while also serving as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. The role offers geographic flexibility to work remotely, aligning with Tanger's modern workplace approach.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the COO.
  • Organize and coordinate executive outreach and external relations efforts while overseeing special projects.
  • Maintain smooth communication between the COO's office and internal departments, demonstrating leadership and maintaining credibility with the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Complete critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach to support the COO and the VP of Field Marketing.
  • Prioritize conflicting needs and handle matters expeditiously and proactively, following through on projects to completion.
  • Research and follow up on incoming issues and concerns, including sensitive or confidential matters.
  • Develop, compile, and distribute materials as required to the CEO and Board members.
  • Plan, coordinate, and ensure the COO's schedule is respected, acting as a gatekeeper for access to the COO's time.
  • Manage active calendars, arrange conference calls, schedule meetings, and complete expense reports.
  • Compose and prepare correspondence, arrange complex travel plans, and plan large meetings with on-site support.

Requirements

  • Five (5) plus years of experience supporting C-level executives is required.
  • A bachelor's degree and commercial real estate experience is preferred.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities with strong decision-making capability.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to understand and analyze data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the real estate industry is preferred.
