About the position

The Executive Assistant to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at CFCU Community Credit Union provides essential administrative and organizational support to the Legal Department and the overall legal and regulatory needs of the Credit Union. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. The Executive Assistant will manage various tasks including complaint management, contract review, and communication with auditors and regulators, ensuring efficient operations within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all incoming complaints received through external or internal reporting methodologies, including logging and tracking complaints.
  • Assist the CRO/GC or Associate Attorney in researching complaints against member account information and organizational policies.
  • Draft complaint responses for review by the CRO/GC or Associate Attorney, including appropriate citations and exhibits.
  • Manage all proposed contracts, including logging and tracking contracts within the Contract Log.
  • Assist with delivering and tracking contracts reviewed by outside counsel and obtaining additional information from staff.
  • Provide assistance and support to the AVP of Business Resiliency in conducting ERM assessments.
  • Assist the CRO/GC in communicating with regulating entities and auditors during annual exams and reviews.
  • Distribute, collect, track, and archive Conflict of Interest forms for all staff and new employees.
  • Assist with maintaining the organization's relationship with its insurance coverage provider and participate in the RFP process.
  • Manage communications with outside partners regarding CFCU properties and guide related requests to appropriate departments.
  • Provide additional assistance and perform other duties as assigned by the CRO/GC.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of similar or related experience.
  • Equivalent to a high school education.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite products.
  • Ability to work well in both independent and highly collaborative settings.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to think strategically, multitask, prioritize, and manage deadlines.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
