About the position

The HR Coordinator will provide a full range of administrative and operational support to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Zoetis. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth functioning of HR operations and requires a high level of collaboration and communication skills within a fast-paced team environment. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for managing various operational projects, assisting with budget management, and supporting the HR Leadership Team (HRLT) in the execution of HR processes such as performance management, talent planning, and employee relations. The position is designed to promote knowledge sharing and best practices, making it an excellent stepping stone for those looking to advance their careers in HR. In this role, the HR Coordinator will initiate interdepartmental projects and provide project management assistance as needed. The individual will proactively organize and expedite workflow, ensuring that schedules and deadlines are met. Responsibilities also include coordinating projects, presentations, and reports for the CHRO, managing HR team meetings, and providing comprehensive administrative support, including managing complex calendars and travel arrangements. The HR Coordinator will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative team environment and ensuring that all operational aspects of HR are handled efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support the CHRO in managing operational projects.
  • Manage department budget.
  • Assist the HRLT in managing the operational aspects of HR processes, such as performance management, talent planning, and employee relations.
  • Initiate interdepartmental projects and provide project management assistance when necessary.
  • Proactively organize and expedite workflow and initiate follow-up to ensure schedules and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate projects, presentations, and reports for the CHRO as appropriate.
  • Manage HR team meetings, including agenda development, meeting minute capture, and tracking action items.
  • Provide full administrative support, including managing complex calendars and scheduling high-level meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with interest and/or experience in Human Resources a plus.
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible administrative experience with the ability to carry out complex administrative functions proficiently.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment and prioritize work appropriately.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with poise and maturity to respond with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated excellent judgment and ability to work with confidential documents.
  • High-energy, self-starter with initiative to function autonomously and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Models administrative professionalism and remains calm under pressure.
