About the position

Verkada is seeking a dynamic Executive Assistant to support our Chief Technology Officer (CTO) within the Engineering organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the organization while also inspiring team morale and fostering a collaborative environment. The Executive Assistant will partner directly with the Engineering leadership team to manage day-to-day operations and schedules, ensuring that all activities are accounted for and progressing as planned. This position will also involve leading the planning and coordination of various Software team events, contributing to a vibrant workplace culture. As an Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the CTO's calendar proactively and thoughtfully, ensuring that all appointments and commitments are organized effectively. You will execute external events in collaboration with the Engineering executive and leadership team, which may include conferences, speaking engagements, and team-building activities. Additionally, you will own special projects that are associated with the Engineering executive and leadership team, manage travel arrangements, and expedite expense reports. Collaboration with other members of the administrative support team will also be a key aspect of this role, ensuring that all administrative functions are handled seamlessly. This position is based on-site at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA, and requires a proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, start-up environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in executive support, particularly within a technology-focused organization, and will be adept at managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the calendar in a proactive and thoughtful manner for our CTO.
  • Execute on external events in tandem with the Engineering executive and leadership team (i.e. conferences, speaking engagements, team building).
  • Own special projects associated with our Engineering executive and leadership team.
  • Manage travel & expedite expense reports.
  • Collaborate with other members of the administrative support team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of Executive Assistant experience to VP-level stakeholders within tech.
  • Experience working within an Engineering organization strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple calendars in tandem.
  • Preference for executive level coordinating and event planning experience.
  • Attention to detail, coupled with creative problem solving and superior communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset to handle regular activities without prompting, and advise in advance of potential issues.
  • Track record of accomplishment in all previous roles.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to navigate and flourish in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Proficient using Google G-Suite.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 USD
  • Potential for additional compensation in the form of sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
