The University of Nevada, Las Vegas is seeking an Executive Assistant to the Head Coach of Men's Basketball. This role is pivotal in providing direct assistance to the Head Coach in various administrative functions, alumni relations, donor relations, and special events related to the men's basketball program. The Executive Assistant will work closely with the Head Men's Basketball Coach and the Deputy Athletic Director/Athletic Director on a daily basis, ensuring smooth operations within the program. Key responsibilities include serving as the direct liaison to the Athletic Director for budget presentations and preparations for the men's basketball program. The Executive Assistant will handle administrative tasks necessary to support the program, such as managing game day tickets for home and away games to ensure NCAA compliance, assisting with team travel arrangements, and monitoring the team travel budget. Additionally, the role involves planning and organizing special events for men's basketball, processing game guarantees, and coordinating team meals based on the nutritional needs of student-athletes. The Executive Assistant will also play a crucial role in liaising with the Runnin' Rebel Club to expand its membership and keep them updated on the needs of the men's basketball program. This includes working with the Rebel Athletic Fund on donor travel throughout the season and promoting the former player/alumni relations through the "Legends" program by planning and executing special events. Maintaining relationships with donors and former players is essential, as is promoting the men's basketball program positively within the community and on campus. Furthermore, the position will assist with facility improvement plans related to men's basketball and support summer camps and clinics. The Head Men's Basketball Coach may assign additional duties and special projects as necessary. A basic knowledge of NCAA rules relevant to the job duties is required, and the Executive Assistant must obtain proper guidance or approval from Athletics Compliance before participating in select activities as defined by NCAA bylaws or institutional policies.
