About the position

Mike's Plumbing and Drain Cleaning is seeking an organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support the Owners in day-to-day operations. This role involves providing high-level administrative support, overseeing HR and payroll duties, and ensuring efficient office management. The ideal candidate will possess excellent multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and discretion in handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Manage owner's schedule, coordinate meetings, and handle communications.
  • Prepare meeting minutes and proofread documents.
  • Organize filing systems and maintain office organization.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and maintain personnel records.
  • Support recruitment efforts and communicate HR updates.
  • Assist in processing bi-weekly payroll and track attendance.
  • Support benefits enrollment and liaise with payroll vendors.
  • Oversee office management tasks such as ordering supplies and coordinating maintenance.
  • Develop, manage, and track progress of special projects.
  • Develop and update training manuals.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in an administrative or executive assistant role.
  • Experience with HR and payroll duties required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and scheduling software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail in payroll and HR-related tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HR processes and employment laws is a plus.
