About the position

The Executive Assistant to the Superintendent provides essential administrative support to the Superintendent and the Executive Cabinet, ensuring efficient operations within the district. This role includes coordinating School Board meetings, managing election procedures, and offering clerical assistance across various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct administrative support to the Superintendent, including managing calls, scheduling appointments, and typing correspondence.
  • Coordinates and prepares for all School Board meetings, including assembling materials, distributing packets, and taking minutes.
  • Provides general clerical support to Business Services and Human Resources, including backup support for the Student Data Specialist.
  • Assists Learning and Teaching and Technology departments with clerical tasks as needed.
  • Coordinates all election procedures, including filing, notices, recruiting judges, and maintaining election documents.
  • Performs other comparable duties as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associates Degree or 2 years of post-secondary schooling.
  • 3-5 years of previous administrative support experience, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures, grammar, and administrative operational requirements.
  • Familiarity with district administrative procedures and policies, as well as laws and regulations pertaining to school elections and data privacy.
  • Proficiency in office equipment and productivity software used within the district.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience supporting an administrator in an educational setting is preferred.

  • Salary range of $28.00 - $32.00/hour
  • 222 Duty Days/Year
