About the position

The Executive Assistant to the Dean at the University of California, Berkeley plays a crucial role in supporting the Dean of the Goldman School of Public Policy (GSPP) in various administrative and operational tasks. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Dean's schedule and manage appointments.
  • Handle communications on behalf of the Dean, including emails and phone calls.
  • Organize events and meetings, including logistics and materials preparation.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents for the Dean.
  • Manage special projects as assigned by the Dean.
  • Facilitate interactions with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Support the Dean in strategic initiatives and operational tasks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an executive assistant or in a similar administrative role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in office software and technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and communication tools.
