The Executive Assistant to the Store Manager at La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager by overseeing daily operations, coordinating team activities, and enhancing customer relations. This position is ideal for a proactive individual with strong leadership skills who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, ensuring efficiency and high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily store operations ensuring the highest standards of efficiency, organization, and customer service.
  • Act as a key liaison between the Store Manager and showroom staff, communicating store goals, assignments, and performance expectations.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees and providing ongoing support to team members.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for escalated customer issues, ensuring timely resolution and enhancing the customer experience.
  • Monitor and report on sales metrics, inventory levels, and showroom performance.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to identify and implement improvements for sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in coordinating inventory logistics, and working with the merchandising team.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with demonstrated success in retail, operations, or team management.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with an ability to make decisions confidently and delegate effectively.
  • Flexibility to travel regularly between Naples and Fort Myers showrooms.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with POS and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-first approach to issue resolution.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.
