About the position

The Executive Assistant to the Vice President at Northrop Grumman provides comprehensive administrative support, requiring exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills. This role is pivotal in facilitating communication and coordination among executive leadership, ensuring efficient operations in a fast-paced environment. The position demands a proactive mindset and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the program leadership as assigned
  • Collecting and preparing information for executive discussions and meetings
  • Analyzing data to identify root causes of complex problems and propose solutions
  • Facilitating program meetings, executive meetings, customer visits, and other events
  • Arranging executive-level travel, including reservations for the company plane
  • Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of job aspects and their application to complex problems
  • Operating independently to meet leadership requirements and assist other functions
  • Generating and compiling reports
  • Handling highly confidential and critical details
  • Making high-level contacts of a sensitive nature within and outside the company
  • Exercising strong judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED and a minimum of 8 years' experience, including Executive Assistant experience
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with executive-level contacts (internal and external)
  • Ability to efficiently coordinate Outlook calendar, meetings, and other events/activities
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (last investigation completed within the last 6 years)
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's or associate's degree
  • Familiarity with Northrop Grumman's systems (SAP, Concur, Facilities requests, IBUY, etc.)
  • Knowledge of NGC resources, policies, and procedures
  • Advanced experience with Concur (or similar) travel and expense reporting system
  • Special Program access
  • Active Secret Clearance
