About the position

Gundersen Health System is seeking an Executive Assistant to join our growing and thriving organization. This position is an opportunity to provide both customer service and effective engagement to patients while doing the work you love in the beautiful coulee region of La Crosse, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will possess attention to detail, professionalism, efficiency in the use of technology and systems, and a flexible, team-oriented approach. This role involves managing and collaborating with three Managers, one Director, and one Vice President, ensuring that the administrative needs of these leaders are met effectively. As an Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for providing top-level customer service, creating the best first and last impressions for our patients. You will partner with a team of providers, medical professionals, and managers who are dedicated to supporting your success and that of our patients in their health journeys. The position offers a starting pay of $51,875.20 annually, with additional compensation based on experience. You will also have access to a Career Development Center and a Tuition Investment Program, which supports your growth in your career. The organization values work/life balance, allowing you to love what you do and where you live. This position is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week, primarily during the day from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours between 7 AM and 5 PM. There is also the ability to work from home one day a week. The role is located in the Medical Education department on the 3rd floor of the clinic, where you will have a private office. The Executive Assistant will play a major role in coordinating the primary functions and activities of the executive(s) being supported by anticipating their needs and workflow, ensuring smooth operations within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of more complex and advanced administrative work to senior leadership.
  • Serve as an administrative liaison with others outside of the area or organization.
  • Demonstrate initiative and independence using extensive knowledge of the area of responsibility.
  • Coordinate the primary functions, work, or activities of the executive(s) being supported by anticipating their needs and workflow.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Business or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in an administrative capacity.
