About the position

American Products, Inc. (API) manufactures architectural metal products such as storefronts and commercial properties. Our customers include some of the largest national chains in the country such as Chipotle, Forever 21, Athleta, Warby Parker, Panera, Wawa, Gap, Old Navy, Outback, Footlocker etc., as well as, architects, general contractors and subcontractors located nationally throughout the US. We are looking to hire an experienced Executive Assistant to work closely and provide administrative support to the owners of the company with both business and personal items. This individual needs to be a dynamic and very positive, outgoing, professional. This position also supports other areas of the business as needed, such as operations, marketing, HR, etc. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to wear multiple hats, and works great independently.

Responsibilities

  • Must hold themselves in high regard and command respect of the staff as they are represented as part of the senior management team.
  • Sustain a high level of organization for the executives they work for.
  • Go above and beyond to complete the job for a pair of busy executives.
  • Must be comfortable running errands as needed.
  • Join management meetings while taking extensive meeting minutes, distributing those minutes and following up with staff to ensure items are completed.
  • Join in various marketing and sales support functions.
  • Multi-task while still staying focused on all priorities at hand.
  • Thrives in a very fast paced environment that is always changing!

Requirements

  • Exhibit superior planning, organization, and multitasking skills. Accuracy and attention to details are a must.
  • Above average computer skills, an absolute must, in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and CRM software.
  • Must exhibit outstanding communication skills: writing, grammar, spelling, etc.
  • Needs to have the ability to take initiative and be a self-starter.
  • Capable of being flexible and adaptable in an ever changing work environment.
  • Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • An interest in Marketing or experience in marketing is a plus.
  • Must be comfortable working on personal items (from managing personal calendars, to scheduling appointments, vacations, home/car repair, to holiday shopping, running errands, etc.)
