About the position

The Executive Assistant position at the Department of Homeland Security's Transportation Security Administration involves providing high-level administrative support to senior officials. The role is critical in coordinating logistics for travel, preparing sensitive reports, and managing correspondence, all aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency of the agency in safeguarding the American transportation infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate administrative activities and functions of the office, including logistics for international and domestic travel.
  • Complete special and customized reports, position papers, and briefings for senior officials on major issues.
  • Research and analyze information from various sources regarding matters of interest to senior officials.
  • Prepare reports, position papers, and briefings on confidential and sensitive issues.
  • Manage all correspondence and documents, ensuring timely processing in accordance with TSA policy.
  • Review outgoing correspondence for protocol, neatness, accuracy, and adherence to TSA policies.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National.
  • Minimum age of 18 at the time of application.
  • Ability to complete a favorable Background Investigation.
  • Selective Service registration required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the SV-G (GS-11) level in the Federal service for SV-H (GS-12) applicants.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the SV-H (GS-12) level in the Federal service for SV-I (GS-13) applicants.
