About the position

Walker & Dunlop is one of the largest providers of capital to the commercial real estate industry, enabling real estate owners and operators to bring their visions of communities to life. The Executive Assistant role is pivotal within the Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners (WDIP) department, which manages capital on behalf of various institutional investors. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively support the Senior Management Team by organizing complex business activities, managing schedules, and providing comprehensive administrative support. The ideal candidate will be the 'go-to person' for the team, demonstrating excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong time management abilities. In this role, the Executive Assistant will be responsible for preparing a variety of business documents, handling confidential information, and engaging in proactive communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders. The position requires a high level of discretion and the ability to manage sensitive information while maintaining professionalism in all interactions. The Executive Assistant will also collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure seamless operations within the department. The work schedule is generally Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with the possibility of remote work for up to two days a week. Responsibilities

  • Expertly organize complex business activities, including meetings, conferences, and departmental events, with a focus on coordinating schedules for the WDIP Senior Management Team.
  • Provide comprehensive day-to-day support to the WDIP Senior Management Team, ensuring business needs are efficiently met.
  • Prepare a range of business documents, including general correspondence, memos, presentations, and business plans; proofread copy for spelling, grammar, and layout while making appropriate changes.
  • Handle confidential and non-routine information while maintaining a high level of discretion.
  • Engage in proactive communication and problem-solving with team members, clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other executive assistants and provide cross-functional support as part of the administrative team.
  • Fulfill any other responsibilities and duties as assigned in alignment with the evolving needs of the department and the organization.
  • Promote Walker & Dunlop culture, decisions, and policies in all interactions and projects.
  • Represent WDIP Senior Management Team with knowledge and integrity in communications and interactions with guests, external partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
  • 5 - 7+ years of experience supporting executives in a corporate environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, judgment, flexibility, and dependability.
  • Strong business sense and ability to prioritize work as well as to find solutions to various problems while managing deadlines.
  • Interest in or experience with Real Estate Finance.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and maturity to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
