The Jed Foundation (JED) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting emotional health and preventing suicide among teens and young adults. We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support our Senior Vice President of Policy, Advocacy & Government Relations. This role is crucial in ensuring the SVP operates at maximum efficiency by managing their workflow, priorities, and schedule. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting executives, with exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. In this position, the Executive Assistant will be responsible for coordinating the SVP's calendar, managing travel arrangements, and overseeing expense management. The role also involves drafting communications on behalf of the SVP, managing email correspondence, and preparing for both internal and external meetings. The Executive Assistant will play a key role in supporting the leadership team by gathering information, preparing documents, and ensuring that projects are moving forward efficiently. This includes taking notes during meetings, tracking responsibilities, and managing special projects as assigned by the SVP. The successful candidate will need to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely follow-through on various issues. They will also assist with event planning logistics and identify opportunities to streamline processes and systems to enhance the SVP's workflow.
