Cherokee Insights is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to the command team at Fort George G Meade, MD. This role is critical in ensuring that the command team remains organized and on track with their tasks. The Executive Assistant will manage schedules, prioritize appointments, and ensure timely follow-up to meet mission requirements. The position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance, reflecting the sensitive nature of the work involved. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for updating the Commander's calendar as needed and upon request. This includes submitting a written comprehensive analysis of the Commander's schedule once a month, providing observations, trends, and recommendations related to time management and interactions with both external and internal customers. The role also involves screening office visitors, handling telephone calls and electronic inquiries directed to the Commander, and managing the reception of guests. In addition to these tasks, the Executive Assistant will compose, coordinate, proofread, edit, and distribute correspondence for the command group and the Commander's personal/special staff. They will coordinate logistics for briefings, off-site meetings, conferences, official events, and dignitary visits, providing protocol advice as necessary. The role requires assembling and organizing materials for meetings and engagements, maintaining the Defense Travel System (DTS) training to coordinate travel arrangements, and evaluating office procedures to enhance operational efficiency. The Executive Assistant will also be responsible for designing templates for recurring knowledge products, analyzing and improving knowledge management practices, and maintaining a daily staff action tracking tool. They will support the S3 as an alternate for the INSCOM Task Management Tool (TMT) and assist in managing taskers. The position may involve leading training and delegating routine duties in coordination with the contract Program Manager. The Executive Assistant will develop and deliver briefings, reports, and presentations as required, and perform other related duties to support the Commander and command group.
