About the position

The Executive Assistant position is a full-time role based in Dutchess County, New York, requiring on-site presence across multiple sites. The role involves supporting the CEO of a not-for-profit housing development agency and collaborating closely with the Staff Accountant. The position demands high standards of honesty, loyalty, confidentiality, and excellent interpersonal skills, along with a strong commitment to the agency's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidential records including Board meeting minutes.
  • Handle financial duties such as deposits, vouchers, reconciliations, and billings.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and ensure compliance with financial protocols.
  • Work closely with Asset Management and Maintenance Staff to facilitate production and develop Handbooks and Plans.
  • Provide administrative support to the CEO and other staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, Associates degree required.
  • Three years of documented experience in a similar role.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License.
  • Excellent computer knowledge, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Documented writing ability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a not-for-profit environment.
  • Familiarity with housing development processes.
