The Executive Assistant will provide direct administrative support to the Director of Regenerative Food Systems and the Co-Director of Regenerative Food Low Emission Beef within the Provide Food & Water Business Unit at The Nature Conservancy (TNC). This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the department by managing various administrative tasks. Responsibilities will include making domestic and international travel arrangements, managing calendars, answering phones, drafting correspondence, processing expenses, and coordinating logistics for meetings and special events. The Executive Assistant will act independently on assigned tasks, exercising independent judgment based on analysis and experience. The work is diversified and may not always fall under established practices and guidelines, requiring the ability to adapt and respond to changing circumstances. In addition to administrative duties, the Executive Assistant will coordinate projects with multiple variables, working within defined timelines and budgets. They will handle sensitive information with discretion and ensure compliance with Conservancy policies and procedures, as well as external requirements from donors, legal entities, and the IRS. The role also involves making purchases, processing invoices, contracting with vendors, and assisting with budget preparation. The Executive Assistant will provide input through project teams for the improvement of existing programs and will refer difficult questions and unusual problems to the supervisor. This position requires flexibility in working hours and may involve travel, although the work environment typically involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion or strain. This full-time, remote position allows for work from anywhere where TNC can operate, provided the candidate can work during the US Eastern Time Zone.
