About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef's Assistant to support an Executive Chef traveling from Las Vegas for a special event in Sevierville, TN. This position is temporary and will involve preparing and serving cuisine for VIP guests over the course of one or two days. The role requires a strong understanding of food preparation and service, as well as the ability to follow directions closely and work efficiently under pressure. The Chef's Assistant will be responsible for setting up the dining area, preparing ingredients, and assisting in the cooking process to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. The event will include two evenings of preparation and one full day of service, with the first day being particularly important. The compensation for this role is $20 per hour, plus gratuity in cash, reflecting the high standards expected for this event. Candidates should be prepared to accommodate the Executive Chef's directions fully and maintain a professional demeanor throughout the event.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in preparing and serving meals for VIP guests.
• Set up tables and dining areas according to specifications.
• Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking as directed by the Executive Chef.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines during food preparation and service.

Requirements

• Experience in food preparation and service, preferably in a high-end or fine dining environment.
• Ability to follow directions and work under the guidance of the Executive Chef.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves
