About the position

The Executive Chef is responsible for leading all culinary operations at Levy's locations in Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. This role involves setting menu standards, training team members, and being the face of Levy in social media. The Executive Chef is expected to deliver exceptional culinary experiences while driving operational performance and financial success.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively coach and motivate team members to deliver their best.
  • Identify opportunities and drive improvements in food and financial performance.
  • Oversee all aspects of a safe and sanitary culinary department.
  • Work closely with purchasing and finance teams to develop a financially viable menu that delights guests.
  • Build and develop the on-site culinary team.
  • Collaborate with regional and Home Office culinary teams to evolve the food experience for guests.
  • Support revenue-driving efforts through social media participation.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance routines.
  • Create and distribute team member schedules in line with revenue forecasts.
  • Oversee menu design and updates based on food trends and internal data.
  • Maintain recipe specifications and update based on product availability and pricing.
  • Manage routine kitchen procedures including checklists, cleaning schedules, and pest control.
  • Create customized group sales/event menus in partnership with sales teams.
  • Set standards for chef table setups and ensure efficient food production.
  • Deliver training and coaching on menu and culinary skills to team members.
  • Attend management team meetings to foster collaboration with other departments.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to set the tone for events.
  • Manage team member breaks and well-being.
  • Complete onboarding and orientation for new culinary team members.
  • Ensure high standards in food ordering, delivery, prep, transportation, and service.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume Executive Chef position.
  • Ability to taste and evaluate food and beverage products.
  • A culinary degree is preferred.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Understanding of financial concepts.
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
