About the position

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef to lead culinary operations at a prestigious client location in the North Bay San Francisco, CA market. This hands-on role requires a strong background in upscale food production and fine dining, with a focus on delivering high-quality culinary experiences while managing food costs and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Executive Chef will work closely with residents and clients, providing leadership and technical training to the culinary team, and will be responsible for financial oversight, budgeting, and compliance with food safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow the menu while managing and controlling food costs.
  • Provide full financial oversight of the account, including budgeting and reporting.
  • Offer technical training and expertise to the production team while working alongside them.
  • Achieve optimum client and customer satisfaction.
  • Create a positive customer service-driven environment and drive employee engagement.
  • Integrate fully within the client's organization as a trusted adviser with a customer service focus.
  • Achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.

Requirements

  • Passion for culinary arts and creativity.
  • Strong production culinary background, ideally in a healthcare or retail setting.
  • Experience supervising a culinary team with exceptional human resource and management skills.
  • Exceptional professional communication skills.
  • Hands-on, innovative leadership approach to management.
  • High-level customer service and relationship-oriented skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions within company guidelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing a food service operations budget.
