About the position

The Executive Compensation Analyst at nVent plays a crucial role in supporting the design, implementation, and administration of the company's executive compensation plans. This includes overseeing base pay, short- and long-term incentive plans, deferred compensation plans, and the nVent Stock Purchase Plan (NSPP). The position is integral to ensuring that the compensation programs align with the company's strategic goals and comply with relevant regulations. In this role, you will administer the employee stock purchase plan (NSPP) globally, which involves collaborating with local country coordinators, managing the funding of monthly contributions, and providing education to participants. You will also be responsible for the executive deferred compensation program, which includes weekly funding of employee deferrals, annual enrollment, and the administration of plan distributions. Additionally, you will support global stock plan administration, which encompasses managing equity grants and vestings, handling day-to-day equity transactions, and fostering strong relationships with payroll to identify opportunities for process improvements in equity compensation. The position requires conducting executive job evaluations to determine appropriate job leveling and competitive pay positioning, ensuring internal alignment. You will maintain knowledge of SEC, tax, and other applicable global regulations related to compensation programs, ensuring that tax documents are current both internally and on the equity compensation system. Furthermore, you will support SEC reporting, including the creation and review of Form 4, annual proxy, and 10-K filings, as well as assist with annual country regulatory reporting and local HR/Payroll/Finance data requests. Lastly, you will assist in reviewing and updating educational materials on executive compensation programs, policies, and procedures, ensuring that all stakeholders are well-informed and compliant with the latest regulations.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Resources, Finance, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience preferred in a relevant field.
  • Experience with HRIS and equity management platforms, particularly Workday and Fidelity, is a plus.
  • Previous payroll and tax experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including the use of spreadsheets with formulas, functions, pivot tables, and lookups.
