The Executive Creative Director at Bose is a pivotal role that embodies the passion, vision, and leadership necessary to elevate the company's storytelling and creative output. The Executive Creative Director will work closely with various partners to define how Bose should be represented through design, content, advertising, and immersive experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of the brand's identity and the ability to translate that into compelling narratives that resonate with consumers. In this role, the Executive Creative Director will oversee the creative department, which includes managing the creative, production, and studio teams, as well as coordinating with external creative agencies. The individual will be responsible for developing innovative storytelling and distinctive communications that enhance the brand's presence across all channels, both online and offline. This includes ensuring that all creative outputs are consistent with Bose's brand identity and editorial voice, while also embracing consumer insights to inform creative decisions. The Executive Creative Director will also be tasked with managing resource planning and budgets, reviewing creative briefs, and guiding the creative work product to meet business goals. A significant aspect of this role is to establish a strong creative environment that attracts exceptional talent and fosters their career development. The Executive Creative Director will act as a champion for world-class creative experiences, ensuring that the customer’s voice is at the forefront of all creative endeavors. This position requires a leader who can effectively manage relationships with external partners, including photographers, printers, and freelancers, to deliver high-quality creative outputs that align with Bose's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Invent and inspire creative outputs that are tied to an overall strategic framework.
  • Partner with Marketing Strategy, Media, Ecommerce, Resellers to develop effective creative across all channels - online and offline.
  • Ensure consistency in our brand identity, editorial voice, visual expressions.
  • Present creative concepts in persuasive, articulate and compelling ways.
  • Embrace and apply consumer insights to communications and be able to clearly articulate creative rationale.
  • Overseeing the product imagery and content for site, apps and partners.
  • Providing creative direction to partners, sponsors, and influencers on content creation.
  • Elevate the standards, workflows, processes and skillsets to optimize the creative team's outputs.
  • Manage resource planning, budget and allocation.
  • Review and interpret creative briefs and guide the creative work product.
  • Understand goals, business requirements, constraints, and be able to work within project parameters.
  • Ensure a consistent and cohesive approach across online and offline creative.
  • Establish a strong creative environment and culture that allows you to recruit exceptional creative talent.
  • Manage the career development of creative resources and be a motivating and inspiring force in the company that gets the best performance out of people.
  • Be the voice of the customer and a champion for world-class creative experiences.
  • Managing external agents like photographers, printers, freelancers, web developers, etc., and coordinating them according to the work of art directors, copywriters, and other post production workers.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in creative roles, particularly in leadership positions.
  • Proven experience in creative strategy, connecting consumer insights to a creative platform.
  • Strong creative direction skills, providing compelling and clear feedback to teams and agencies.
  • Ability to effectively manage and partner with production companies, media agencies, and creative firms.
  • Experience in concept development, driving innovative ideas and emotionally resonant communications.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, directing teams towards common goals.
  • In-depth understanding of customer experience and what drives customer engagement.
  • Staying current on trends and culture, with a deep knowledge of current market dynamics.
