About the position

The Executive Creative Director plays a pivotal role in managing and inspiring both team members and clients, showcasing the ability to offer, identify, and cultivate strategically creative solutions tailored to meet client needs. This position requires a deep understanding of the client's perspective, which is achieved by monitoring relevant business issues, cultural events, and trends that impact their audiences and customers. The Executive Creative Director is responsible for crafting and developing budget-conscious strategies that align with the high expectations of demanding clients, ensuring that all creative outputs are not only innovative but also feasible within the given constraints. In this role, the Executive Creative Director will provide unique and creative solutions across multiple channels, including environmental designs. This includes developing design visuals such as concepts, sketches, floor plans, space development, presentation layouts, and control drawings. A significant aspect of the position involves mentoring and developing design staff, fostering an environment of growth and creativity. The Executive Creative Director must also ensure consistency across all internal contributors, production teams, and graphics, maintaining a cohesive vision throughout the project lifecycle. The ability to present ideas effectively and work closely with demanding clients is crucial, as is the understanding of budgetary restraints. The Executive Creative Director will contribute to the profit and loss (P&L) discussions, providing recommendations that align with the financial goals of the agency. Other duties may be assigned as needed, reflecting the dynamic nature of the role and the agency's commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide unique, creative solutions and big ideas across multiple channels, including environmental designs, for our clients
  • Understand each client's point of view by monitoring business issues, cultural events and trends that affect their audiences/customers
  • Develop design visuals including concept, sketching, floor plan/space development, presentation layouts and control drawings
  • Develop and mentor design staff
  • Understand budgetary restraints and provide recommendations; contribute to the P&L
  • Ensure consistency across internal contributors, production teams, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to present to and work closely with demanding clients
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, environmental design, retail design, interior design, industrial design, exhibit design or experiential design
  • 15+ years of experience in event marketing, environmental design, and/or architecture
  • Experience in 2D & 3D environments
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite software, 3D Studio Max, V-Ray, ACad or similar CAD software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
