About the position
The Executive Director of Category Promo & Coupon Planning & Execution at CVS Health is responsible for leading the development and execution of promotional strategies that enhance consumer engagement and drive sales across the Front Store. This role involves collaborating with various business units to create compelling promotional campaigns, managing a team of 14, and ensuring financial accountability for promotional activities. The position aims to align promotional strategies with the company's broader goals of delivering exceptional health and wellness experiences to consumers.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team in the design, development, planning, and execution of a product-centric promotional vision for the Front Store.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive short and long-term promotional and coupon strategy to meet business objectives.
- Engage with senior leaders across stakeholder groups to assess and redirect promotion and coupon strategies as necessary.
- Monitor retail environment trends to evaluate competitive landscape and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Participate in strategy development, experimentation design, process improvement, and talent development.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in retail merchandising and/or marketing programs.
- 15+ years of successful leadership experience in a multi-unit environment.
- Proven track record of influencing others with and without authority.
- Experience building high-performing teams and developing key talent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working for a Fortune 500 company in merchandising or a similar function.
- Experience managing a P&L strongly preferred.
- Advanced degree preferred.
