About the position

The Executive Director for the Cincinnati Artist Directory will lead a new organization aimed at promoting the region's creative community. This role involves developing and managing an artist database, fostering collaboration among artists, and ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization. The Executive Director will be responsible for strategic initiatives, marketing, and day-to-day operations, while also reporting to the Senior Vice President of Cultural Economy at the Cincinnati Chamber.

Responsibilities

• Develop and promote the artist database within the regional arts community.
• Support the creation of an engaged, diverse, and inclusive Advisory Committee.
• Oversee all marketing, branding, and development strategies.
• Manage the financial affairs of the organization to ensure sustainability.
• Maintain and update the website and database, onboarding new artist members.
• Build and foster relationships with constituents, partners, and funders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Arts Administration, Art History, or related field.
• Proven track record in a leadership position at an arts or non-profit organization.
• Working knowledge of the local artist community and existing personal network.
• Experience with marketing methods and tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Experience developing and managing web-based platforms.
• Basic website management skills including CMS administration.
• Proactive, accountable, self-starter with the ability to self-direct.
