About the position

The Executive Director - Corporate IT is responsible for directing and managing the Corporate IT functions, aligning technology strategy with business drivers, and developing comprehensive technology roadmaps. This role involves analyzing industry trends, managing compliance and governance, and leading teams to ensure effective IT operations and asset management. The incumbent will also engage with stakeholders to support strategic projects and ensure the organization's technology standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage Corporate IT functions, aligning technology strategy with business drivers.
  • Create, enhance, review, and update product technology roadmaps and plans annually.
  • Lead the Governance & Compliance function, managing performance and development of resources.
  • Manage department responsibilities including hiring, training, and succession planning.
  • Champion IT controls related to PCI, MICS, and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 requirements.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and software licenses.
  • Define and maintain policies for effective asset life cycle management of IT assets.
  • Develop IT Asset Management processes and recommend improvements.
  • Analyze technology industry trends to inform technology selection for the organization.
  • Integrate business and technology strategy to enhance competitiveness.
  • Manage direct and matrix teams of technical and business staff.
  • Participate in strategic projects, ensuring alignment with Corporate IT strategy.
  • Conduct analysis of key decisions within projects, assessing impacts on systems and costs.
  • Develop and manage a list of approved technologies and standards.
  • Create communication strategies to convey Corporate IT strategies throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT/Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 7 years of IT and business/industry work experience in architecture design, project management, software development, and systems lifecycle management.
  • Proven success in strategic management and leadership skills.
  • Experience in delivering highly available, scalable, and secure enterprise deployments in cloud/SAAS environments.
  • Prior senior level experience in leading large-scale systems implementations.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with a track record of influencing change.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with diverse teams.
