About the position

The Executive Director, Digital Marketing at Revance is a pivotal role that encompasses the strategy, planning, and execution of digital marketing initiatives within the Services and Customer Solutions group. This position is designed for a seasoned marketing expert who will lead comprehensive customer audience analysis, journey mapping, and the development of digital strategies that drive both B2B and B2C campaigns. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team dedicated to full funnel strategy and activation, ensuring that all digital marketing channels—paid, organic, and direct—are effectively utilized to support Revance's growth objectives. In this role, the Executive Director will engage in high-level strategic planning while also executing hands-on digital marketing initiatives. The primary focus will be on optimizing customer engagement and enhancing the customer journey from initial interaction through to conversion and retention. This includes executing and measuring the effectiveness of various marketing channels, ensuring that the strategies employed are data-driven and aligned with the company's goals. The Executive Director will work cross-functionally with various stakeholders, including product brand marketing, creative teams, technology, and compliance departments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in audience analysis, digital strategy development, and leading discovery workshops with both functional and technical teams. This role requires a self-starter who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, capable of juggling multiple projects while adapting to the evolving needs of stakeholders. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Digital, emphasizing the importance of strategic thinking, team motivation, and problem-solving skills in achieving the company's digital marketing objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Execute commercial strategies for growth, including sales enablement, digital marketing, account-based marketing, and experiential activities.
  • Oversee all organic and paid digital marketing channels, leading a cross-functional team to deliver optimized digital marketing programs.
  • Deliver detailed insights and strategic recommendations to understand performance drivers throughout the funnel.
  • Manage the digital marketing budget to ensure efficient spending and maximize ROI, adjusting allocations as necessary.
  • Participate in strategic planning on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis to stay ahead in digital growth marketing.
  • Monitor industry trends and provide thought leadership to improve digital marketing programs.
  • Utilize first-party data to drive growth and ensure messaging relevance and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement target account strategies to support sales expansion and account-based selling.
  • Design and execute impactful marketing initiatives to meet pipeline requirements across account segments.
  • Proficiently apply content marketing strategies to enhance the omnichannel experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness through better audience segmentation and analytics.
  • Present strategy and insights to senior leadership, ensuring they are informed about digital marketing impacts.
  • Define and oversee a testing methodology for ongoing digital campaign testing and learning.
  • Lead and nurture a high-performing marketing team.
  • Track lead-flow to ensure timely follow-up by sales channels.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive account profiles and target personas to align marketing and sales efforts.
  • Work with sales to identify gaps in key personas and enhance contact information within strategic accounts.
  • Stay updated on external trends and new digital marketing solutions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree & 8 years' directly related experience; OR Bachelor's degree & 10 years' directly related experience; OR Associate's degree & 13 years' directly related experience.
  • 5 years' managerial experience directly managing people, projects, programs, or resources.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Digital Communication, MIS or equivalent relevant experience; MBA preferred.
  • 10-12 years' progressive marketing experience with at least 7+ years' digital experience in integrated media and marketing platforms.
  • Successful track record of increasing revenue and profit within a B2B digital marketing environment.
  • Experience with key digital marketing channels such as paid search, social media, programmatic, email, and SMS.
  • Deep understanding of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and programmatic DSPs.
  • Fluent understanding of website, mobile apps, Salesforce CRM, Marketing Cloud, and eCommerce.
  • Experience with GA4, Snowflake, Power BI, and other marketing analytics tools.
  • Experience defining and implementing a robust MarTech strategy.
