About the position

The Executive Director, Digital Solutions at Drexel University is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the university's digital and interactive initiatives. This position serves as the primary point of contact for digital projects, managing resources and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and ongoing excellence of web and digital solutions. The role involves project lifecycle management, web analytics, policy governance, and ensuring accessibility compliance, while also leading a team dedicated to enhancing the university's digital presence and user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the chief communicator and project workflow manager for the interactive and digital space at Drexel.
  • Lead a cross-disciplinary team and communicate the Drexel vision to key stakeholders.
  • Establish a unified digital ecosystem for the University and oversee partnerships with IT and Drexel leadership.
  • Manage a team responsible for the web enterprise of Drexel.edu and student portal systems.
  • Devise and execute plans for continued support of the University's Sitecore infrastructure.
  • Lead discovery sessions to capture client and user needs and identify opportunities and risks.
  • Develop and present a roadmap reflecting creative problem-solving and sustainable approaches.
  • Establish a best-in-class optimized web presence with benchmark KPI setting and analytical insights.
  • Conduct market research to inform new initiatives and maintain outcome data quantifying efforts.
  • Work with creative and media services personnel to enhance web properties and develop new web creative.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in a related position with 3-5 years in a client management role of an enterprise-level website organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience within higher education is highly desired.
  • Experience with CRM tools, CMS, Adobe Creative Suite, SEO, and project management tools such as ASANA.
  • Experience implementing and managing Google's Universal Analytics and Tag Manager.
  • Agency experience is a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective web technology and design, CRM and CMS systems, and search engine optimization strategies.
