About the position

The Executive Director, Digital Strategy and Global Process Owner (GPO) Lead at Bristol Myers Squibb is responsible for developing and overseeing the Partner-to-Pay Digital and Analytics strategy for the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) organization. This role involves collaborating with senior leadership and various stakeholders to gather requirements, define a multi-year roadmap, and implement digital tools and methodologies to enhance procurement processes. The position also focuses on establishing standardized global business processes, governance frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Partner-to-Pay Digital & Analytics Strategy.
  • Oversee digital and analytics roadmap development for the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Organization.
  • Collaborate with SS&P Senior Leadership and various stakeholders to collect requirements and define roadmap.
  • Identify, test, and deploy best-in-class digital tools and methodologies for the partner-to-pay organization.
  • Develop business case scenarios to support recommendations and prioritize initiatives.
  • Continuously improve digital & analytics strategies by leveraging best practices.
  • Manage interconnection between data, analytics, process and technology to enable Digital roadmap.
  • Develop and manage Digital Governance for the Procurement function.
  • Gather and prioritize analytics use cases across the Procurement function.
  • Oversee User Experience Strategy for Procurement.
  • Drive large strategic innovation program to transform processes and ways of working across Procurement.

Requirements

  • B.S./B.A. degree.
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of business experience.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of multi-disciplined procurement experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years Pharmaceutical Procurement experience.
  • Experience leading and participating on cross-functional and/or global teams.
  • Managerial experience including managing teams of senior professionals and managers.
  • Expertise in internal stakeholder management, data/information management, category management, process redesign, and continuous improvement.

Nice-to-haves

  • M.S./M.B.A. degree.
  • Professional certifications (e.g. CPM, CPIM).
  • 5 years Pharmaceutical Procurement experience.
  • Membership in Professional Associations, e.g. ISM.
