About the position

The Executive Director, EHSS Audit, Systems & Performance at Bristol-Myers Squibb is responsible for leading the corporate audit program, developing the company's EHSS strategy, and overseeing digital platforms and governance processes. This role focuses on enhancing EHSS performance through training, safety culture programs, and the integration of artificial intelligence. The position requires collaboration across functions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in EHSS practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and refresh of the overarching EHSS strategy.
  • Oversee the corporate EHSS audit program for internal operations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHSS policies and standards.
  • Implement a performance reporting structure for EHSS metrics.
  • Manage the company's EHSS digital platforms and technology.
  • Integrate artificial intelligence opportunities within the EHSS strategy.
  • Establish global governance processes for risk management.
  • Develop and oversee the global EHSS training program.
  • Lead the development of safety and sustainability culture programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHSS considerations into business processes.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the EHSS Audit, Systems and Performance team.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in EHSS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Occupational Health, Safety, Engineering, Audit, Digital, Statistics or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years relevant experience in EHSS management.
  • Extensive experience in strategy development, audit, systems, and performance.
  • Experience in risk identification and management processes at a company level.
  • Broad knowledge of all EHSS disciplines.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing EHSS policies and standards in a multinational organization.
  • Contemporary knowledge of EHSS digital platforms and technology.
  • Experience in integrating artificial intelligence solutions to enhance EHSS performance.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
