The candidate will also initiate appropriate controls to ensure compliance with operating and capital budgets, working collaboratively with other departments, staff, and external entities to facilitate an effective budget preparation process. Monitoring and summarizing the status of all financial targets will be essential to ensure that the university meets its financial objectives. Moreover, the role includes training, mentoring, and supervising department staff to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring internal control oversight and compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding assets, and adhering to university policies and procedures. The position also involves creating an effective control environment, conducting risk assessments, and implementing and monitoring controls to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities

  • Assists in preparation of miscellaneous business plans relating to assigned facility operations.
  • Participates in strategic long-range and tactical planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles.
  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
  • Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.
  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
