About the position

The Executive Director, Global PR at Hourglass Cosmetics is responsible for overseeing the brand's global public relations strategy, ensuring impactful editorial coverage, and leading the development of press materials and PR toolkits. This role involves collaboration with global markets to maintain consistent messaging and brand positioning, as well as managing internal communications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in luxury and lifestyle PR, with a focus on strategic communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the brand's global PR strategy and key messaging.
  • Drive impactful editorial coverage across digital, social, and print channels.
  • Lead the strategic development of global press materials and PR toolkits.
  • Manage the U.S. public relations agency and support international agencies as needed.
  • Support internal communications, including company newsletters and LinkedIn updates.
  • Partner with Brand Marketing on PR initiatives for product launches.
  • Develop news-driving headlines in the media landscape.
  • Provide executive communications support for the C-Suite and stakeholders.
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for consistency in external communications.
  • Collaborate with regional teams on strategic editorial plans for product launches.
  • Manage crisis communications and respond to external challenges.
  • Oversee the development of PR materials and asset toolkits for product initiatives.
  • Manage, coach, and develop 2 direct reports.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years' public relations/communications experience in global beauty, luxury, or fashion brands.
  • Proven experience managing top-tier media strategy and collaborating with international markets.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and written skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to shift priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest and knowledge of media, culture, business, and purpose.
  • Proven people development expertise and ability to foster collaboration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in luxury and lifestyle brands either agency or client side.
  • Strong understanding of the beauty industry and market trends.
