About the position

The Executive Director, Global Total Rewards & HR Systems is a strategic leadership role at Claire's, responsible for overseeing the company's compensation, benefits, and recognition programs. This position focuses on attracting, retaining, and rewarding employees while ensuring internal equity and external market competitiveness. Additionally, the Executive Director will manage HR Information Systems and leverage data-driven workforce analytics to support decision-making for Claire's global workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Claire's compensation, benefits, and recognition programs.
  • Oversee HR Information Systems and drive workforce analytics.
  • Develop and implement compensation solutions for talent acquisition and retention.
  • Manage global compensation processes including base and variable pay, merit, and bonuses.
  • Conduct annual compensation benchmarking initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and relevant laws regarding benefits and compensation.
  • Negotiate with benefit plan providers and vendors.
  • Analyze total reward plans for cost control and risk assessment.
  • Develop and recommend an annual budget for total rewards programs.
  • Implement new HRIS functionalities and improve business processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; post-secondary degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in managing HR functions in benefits and compensation.
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems, specifically Workday.
  • Advanced knowledge of HR principles, concepts, and federal employment laws.
  • Extensive experience in developing and leading comprehensive HR programs and policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • CCP, CPHR/SHRM, and/or CEBS designation preferred.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Experience engaging senior and executive management.
