About the position

The Executive Director - Investment Solutions Sales U.S. and Latam is responsible for defining and executing business strategies to create and sell investment solutions to BBVA's institutional clients in the U.S., specifically targeting their offshore Latin American end investors. This role involves managing client coverage, generating income, and ensuring compliance with operational policies while fostering relationships with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage workload and client coverage for the offshore client segment of BBVA's U.S. institutional clients.
  • Generate recurring income to meet annual revenue targets and track revenues and business activity.
  • Generate new client leads, complete onboarding, and negotiate signing of new contracts in coordination with the Legal team.
  • Manage commercial activity for the offshore client segment by maintaining ongoing dialogue on pricing requests, product ideas, and market trends.
  • Use internal pricing systems to price cross-asset structured note trades and analyze pricing moves with support from BBVA's trading team.
  • Identify and manage new business opportunities to develop new lines of business and coordinate strategic alignment with other Global Markets/Corporate Investment Banking areas.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external operational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or Financial Management.
  • 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as an equity structured products salesperson for institutional clients.
  • 5 years of experience selling equity structured products to institutional clients for Latin American end investors.
  • 5 years of experience using pricing tools to price equity structured products.
  • 5 years of experience using financial mathematics and modeling to analyze structured product pricing.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $293,000 to $320,000/year.
