About the position

The Executive Director of Advancement Information Services at Tulane University is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the strategic management and operational execution of all advancement information services. This includes overseeing database management, gift accounting, alumni/donor records management, and analytics. The position aims to develop and maintain a robust infrastructure to support the university's fundraising, alumni engagement, and donor stewardship goals, ensuring the integrity and optimization of advancement-related data and technologies. A significant aspect of the role involves leading the implementation and transition to a new Salesforce CRM system, managing a team of over 25 employees, and providing visionary leadership in the advancement division.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the strategic management and operational execution of all advancement information services.
• Manage database management and reporting, gift accounting, and alumni/donor records management.
• Lead the implementation and transition to a new Salesforce CRM system.
• Ensure the integrity, security, and optimization of all advancement-related data and technologies.
• Provide leadership in managing a team of 25+ employees and delegate tasks effectively.
• Evaluate complex issues and identify appropriate solutions and resources.
• Collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in advancement services, information systems, or data management within a higher education or nonprofit organization.
• Extensive experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, and data analytics platforms.
• Proven track record of managing large datasets and ensuring data integrity.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in information systems, business, data science, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in a research university environment.
• Hands-on experience implementing and supporting a Salesforce advancement solution, preferably Affinaquest.
