About the position

The Executive Director of Institutional Advancement at Bay de Noc Community College is a leadership role focused on developing and managing comprehensive fundraising strategies. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in fundraising or management of funds.
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of legal requirements of fundraising and trust administration.
  • Experience in financial or budget management.
  • Proficiency with electronic research, marketing, database management, and reporting methods.
  • Demonstrated significant community involvement and volunteerism.
  • Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and organizational ability.
  • Ability to function autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours and travel extensively.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in business or related field.
  • Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in institutional advancement, fundraising, or development.
  • Experience in a senior leadership role, including strategic planning and team management.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing donor cultivation and stewardship strategies.
  • Experience managing significant budgets, including fiscal planning and resource allocation.
