About the position

The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the community, ensuring high-quality service for residents while maintaining financial stability and fostering a positive work environment for team members. This role involves collaboration with various departments, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct day-to-day functions and operations of the community.
  • Consult with department directors on the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Promote teamwork and cooperation among team members.
  • Ensure residents can attend activities and community programs/events as desired.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to market the community and exceed occupancy goals.
  • Manage all operations, finances, and reporting, including approving expenditures and maintaining financial records.
  • Ensure proper physical maintenance of the community and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Recruit, hire, evaluate, and monitor team members' performance.
  • Represent the community positively and professionally.
  • Participate in surveys and respond to inquiries regarding resident satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage budgetary spending and goals.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a leadership role in hospitality, senior living, healthcare, or related industry.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, nursing, or related preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive community vehicles.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and remain calm in emergencies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and office equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in senior living or healthcare environments.
  • Familiarity with community marketing strategies.
