About the position

The Executive Director, Sales at CSG is a pivotal role responsible for developing, communicating, and implementing the strategic direction for the sales function across designated territories and accounts. This position acts as a vital conduit for regional input, ensuring that the sales strategies are aligned with the needs and expectations of the market. The Executive Director will leverage advanced business acumen and industry knowledge to challenge the assumptions of potential customers, thereby generating new sales opportunities. This is achieved through the creation of unique and compelling solutions, value propositions, messaging, positioning documents, and presentations that resonate with CSG's target markets. In addition to strategic development, the Executive Director will be tasked with building and leading a high-performing sales team capable of driving results against regional and account-specific targets. This includes providing leadership to the sales team in identifying, qualifying, and creating comprehensive account plans. The successful execution of these plans will involve the development and presentation of a complete value proposition, as well as the negotiation and pricing of contractual terms. The Executive Director will serve as an evangelist for CSG, promoting the full suite of products and solutions offered by the company, and ensuring that the sales team is equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to succeed in a competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales management process for defined territories and accounts.
  • Design, build, and implement strategies that enhance business performance in CSG's target markets.
  • Provide leadership to the sales team to identify, qualify, and create account plans.
  • Successfully execute against account plans through the creation and presentation of a complete value proposition.
  • Negotiate and price contractual terms with clients.
  • Act as an evangelist for CSG and its suite of products and solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, preferably in a technology or service-oriented industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales management processes and strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in building and leading high-performing sales teams.
