About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a visionary and transformative Sr. Engineering leader to lead the Developer Experience (DevEx) platform, focusing on improving developer experience and accelerating application modernization to the cloud. This role involves overseeing a world-class team to drive technological evolution and enable next-generation financial services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of experienced engineers and engineering managers.
  • Function as the technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for driving escalated resolution of technology roadblocks.
  • Determine appropriate strategy and actions to act as an escalation partner for scrum masters and teams.
  • Build engineering skills side-by-side in the codebase and conduct peer reviews.
  • Interpret, develop, and ensure security, stability, and scalability within technology functions.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers/Product Owners to drive developer satisfaction and influence technology requirements.
  • Interact directly with third-party vendors and technology service providers.
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met.
  • Hire, build, and guide a culture of talent development.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of Management experience in a technical environment.
  • 4+ years of experience with strategic planning in technology.

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or engineering.
