About the position

The Executive Director, Transformation & Value Creation will lead the Value Creation Office at Claire's, overseeing the design, development, measurement, and operations of retail store tests. This role requires strong analytical skills and deep knowledge of the retail sector, as the Executive Director will manage a cross-functional team to identify and implement effective store concepts that deliver value to the company. The position involves engaging with executive stakeholders and ensuring successful scaling of tested concepts across the store chain.

Responsibilities

  • Identify gaps and opportunities for concept store tests by analyzing insights across functions.
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans, iterating designs based on feedback.
  • Provide strategic direction to the working team to drive material business impact.
  • Guide measurement resources in identifying meaningful metrics and scoping measurement parameters.
  • Design dashboards and reporting to communicate key insights to stakeholders.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to ensure rapid execution of tests.
  • Build partnerships across the organization to scale insights and recommendations effectively.
  • Design implementation plans and manage handoffs for successful scaling of tests.
  • Upskill the organization on creating and deploying tests, acting as a resource for support.
  • Manage team performance and development, including role progression.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 15 years of progressive work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Retail Operational/Functional roles and/or Consumer Products.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team.
  • Extensive knowledge of retail or CPG related functions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Collaborative skills to influence individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to present viewpoints in varied business situations.
  • Analytical skills to convert data into actionable business objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
