About the position

The Executive Director at Leisure Living - Grace Haven Assisted Living and Memory Care is responsible for overseeing the overall experience of residents, families, and staff while ensuring the financial health of the community. This role emphasizes strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills to foster a culture of safety, belonging, and peace of mind for all stakeholders. The Executive Director will lead by example, maintain an open-door policy, and actively engage with residents and staff to enhance satisfaction and community well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Drives culture within the community.
  • Reinforces Common Beliefs through communication and modeling expected servant leadership behaviors.
  • Creates meaningful connections with all residents, ensuring their safety and peace of mind.
  • Responsible for the overall financial health of the community.
  • Leads hiring, training, performance management, and separations when necessary.
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with residents and families.
  • Supports the sales process to convert prospective residents into actual residents.
  • Responsible for lease signings and ensuring resident needs are met during the move-in process.
  • Conducts monthly Resident Forums to listen to and respond to resident concerns.
  • Leads daily stand-ups to review concerns and address community issues.
  • Partners with Functional Leaders to solve community concerns at the local level.
  • Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in regulatory compliance surveys and ensures safety protocols are completed in a timely manner.
  • Provides on-site emergency support when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Health Care, Gerontology, or equivalent experience.
  • Fulfillment of any necessary state-specific certification for Licensed Assisted Living or equivalent.
  • Understanding of federal and state laws related to Senior Assisted Living Community operations.
  • Demonstrates passion for leading and developing people and promoting excellent service delivery.
  • Exceptional hospitality skills with sensitivity to the needs of aging adults and their families.
  • Dedication to helping others and making a difference in the lives of people.
  • Ability to form meaningful relationships with residents, team members, and families.
  • Ability to work effectively and diplomatically with various publics.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
