About the position

The Executive Director at Pheasant Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the community, ensuring high resident satisfaction and quality care. This role requires demonstrated leadership in similar settings and focuses on achieving maximum occupancy while complying with state and federal regulations. The Executive Director will also oversee staff development and maintain a positive environment for residents and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of all departments within the community.
  • Achieve and maintain maximum occupancy while focusing on resident satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal requirements.
  • Promote positive resident and family relations, responding to needs and concerns.
  • Direct and monitor marketing activities to achieve a fully occupied community.
  • Develop resident programs for social interaction, entertainment, and community involvement.
  • Oversee healthcare-related programs and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Manage financial record keeping and ensure timely billing and accounting processes.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop community team members.
  • Monitor sanitation and quality of meals and services provided to residents.
  • Implement a quality assurance program to evaluate departmental performance.

Requirements

  • Valid Residential Care/Assisted Living Administrator license in good standing for the State of Oregon.
  • Minimum of three years prior experience in a management position in assisted living or skilled nursing community.
  • High School diploma or GED, with higher education and specific management training preferred.
  • Current certification as an Assisted Living Administrator.
  • Strong marketing and public relations skills.
  • Understanding of budgeting, financial record keeping, and operational systems.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
