The position requires a program officer to manage grants, partnerships, and thought leadership initiatives across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a 10,000 Small Businesses Program Officer across specific program locations.
  • Develop and manage relationships with community colleges, local partners, and local stakeholders.
  • Work with Babson College to provide oversight of local and statewide programs.
  • Oversee the application and selection process in collaboration with community colleges and the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City.
  • Manage and execute grants for assigned program locations.
  • Engage Goldman Sachs employees in local programming.
  • Track monitoring and evaluation across local programs.
  • Maintain work plans, budgets, calendars, and other organizational documents for 10KSB.
  • Coordinate with the 10,000 Small Businesses Voices team on alumni engagement initiatives.
  • Facilitate development and implementation of local alumni programming.
  • Represent the firm and program at events and conferences across the United States.
  • Lead and execute national thought leadership events and stakeholder engagement opportunities.
  • Project manage cross-program operating tools such as Salesforce and the grants management process.
  • Coordinate with Babson College and internal teams to analyze program impact data and publish reports.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external partnerships related to program innovations.
  • Manage and execute working groups on various special projects involving GS colleagues and 10KSB partners.
  • Develop and share 10KSB best practices applicable across sites and to the national program.
  • Create presentations, talking points, and strategy documents for meetings and events.

Requirements

  • At least 7-8 years' experience in operations and business management.
  • Highest degree of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion.
  • Proven tactical execution experience including strategy development, operations, and budget analysis.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply grants management best practices.
  • Proven project management skills with excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Experience managing partnerships and relationships across multiple organizations and geographies.
  • Team player skilled at managing internal and external teams and junior staff.
  • Keen problem solver with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in person, on phone, and by email.
  • Flexible and willing to work extended hours and travel when required.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word for presentations and data analysis.
