About the position

The Executive Operations Coordinator at Arcticom, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, plays a crucial role in the planning and coordination of protective detail operations for the Secretary of State. This position involves overseeing daily operations, managing information for trip planning, and ensuring the safety and security of the Executive during travel. The coordinator will work closely with senior management and various security organizations to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Senior Operations Coordinator with the coordination of all protective operations.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the Senior Operations Coordinator in their absence.
  • Provide advice and assistance to management in planning, staffing, and resourcing protective operations.
  • Recommend methods to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the planning process.
  • Ensure personnel, equipment, funding, and supporting elements are properly positioned for protective detail operations.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Operations Coordination Unit (OPSCO).
  • Manage information used in trip planning and oversee databases.
  • Serve as a liaison with staff and other entities, working closely with senior management.
  • Develop procedures and practices for efficient OPSCO operations and strong internal controls.
  • Prepare written reports and documents, and brief management on OPSCO-related issues.
  • Use IT systems to collect, organize, analyze, and process information related to OPSCO activities.
  • Evaluate and recommend IT products and systems to improve OPSCO's information management.
  • Monitor the execution of assigned budget areas and advise management on budget impacts.
  • Analyze and interpret complex laws and contractual requirements related to security operations.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to provide advice and consultation.

Requirements

  • Must have a current US Government TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance and qualify for SCI access.
  • Must have a current US Government Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or be able to complete one.
  • A college degree in a related field or extensive experience in protective services is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of budget policies, directives, regulations, and funding structures.
  • Ability to work as a team member, builder, and leader.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a fast-changing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task efficiently.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Tactical Operations Center, Watch or Command Centers, or protective security supervisory roles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Government contracting is desired.
  • Preferably seven years of experience in protective security or related fields.
  • Experience with overseas security programs is strongly preferred.
  • Background in intelligence, threat, vulnerability, and risk analysis.
