About the position

We are seeking a responsible Executive Assistant to provide personalized secretarial and administrative support to a small business owner, particularly in the context of a dog and horse business. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage a variety of tasks related to the executive's working life and communication. The Executive Assistant will work closely with the owner on a one-to-one basis, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a well-organized and timely manner. The ideal candidate must have a passion for animals, especially dogs and horses, as this is a significant aspect of the business. The responsibilities of the Executive Assistant will include performing errands that are both personal and business-related, scheduling appointments for animals, and organizing records. Additionally, the role involves assisting with marketing tasks, screening and directing phone calls, managing correspondence, and helping with hiring needs. The Executive Assistant will also be responsible for managing the executive's calendar, scheduling meetings and appointments, making travel arrangements, and maintaining both personal and business schedules. Furthermore, the role includes producing reports, presentations, and briefs, as well as devising and maintaining an office filing system and assisting with office and accounting systems. This position is part-time, with expected hours ranging from 15 to 20 hours per week, and requires a high school diploma or equivalent. The pay rate is between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour, and the work will be conducted in person, Monday to Friday, typically in four-hour shifts.
