About the position

Adecco is assisting a Commercial Development and Management client in recruiting for an Executive/Personal Assistant to the Chairman in Middleburg, VA. This is a temporary-hire opportunity in a small office setting. As an Executive/Personal Assistant, the candidate will perform a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks. The role requires an individual who is exceedingly well-organized, works well under pressure, is proactive, and flexible. The position involves managing various office tasks and supporting the Chairman in both personal and business capacities. Responsibilities

  • Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems, and use computers for spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and other applications.
  • Set up and maintain paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other material.
  • Answer office telephone and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
  • Locate and attach appropriate files to incoming correspondence requiring replies.
  • Greet office visitors and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate person based on their needs.
  • Open, read, route, and distribute incoming mail or other materials and answer routine letters.
  • Complete forms in accordance with company procedures.
  • Review work done by others to check for correct spelling and grammar, ensure that company format policies are followed, and recommend revisions as needed.
  • Compose, type, and distribute meeting notes, routine correspondence, and reports.
  • Handle personal, as well as, business tasks for the Chairman of the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • 5 Years of Experience supporting at the executive level
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Prefer support experience from professional services, accounting, or legal environment.
  • Expert level written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong decision making abilities
  • Detail-oriented
  • Exceptional organizational skills
