About the position

Pennington Wealth Management, founded in 1996 by Darrell Pennington, is a small but mighty force within the wealth advising community. We are currently seeking an Executive/Personal Assistant to support the CEO and COO with their family personal needs and to assist in office tasks when household responsibilities are light. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and organizational communication skills, along with exceptional time management and administrative abilities. This position requires someone who is tech-savvy, particularly with Microsoft Office and social media platforms, and who has reliable transportation for light travel throughout the Houston area. The role is expected to be between 30-40 hours a week, depending on the family's needs, and includes various responsibilities ranging from errands to household management and event planning. The Executive/Personal Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks including running errands, managing household supplies, scheduling vendors, and maintaining an organized household. Additionally, the role involves personal lifestyle management such as managing calendars, making appointments, and planning events. The candidate should have a strong background in administrative support, with a minimum of five years of experience as an estate or house manager, executive or personal assistant, or chief of staff for private families or executives. Previous experience in production or hospitality is a plus. This is a significant opportunity for the right candidate, with starting compensation ranging from $20 to $23 an hour, along with competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain the CEO's and COO's family personal needs.
  • Assist in office tasks when household responsibilities are light.
  • Run errands including grocery shopping, pharmacy trips, and dry cleaning pick-up/drop-off.
  • Manage household supplies and ensure they are stocked.
  • Schedule and meet with household vendors.
  • Process mail and organize household tasks between cleaner visits.
  • Plan and host events such as philanthropic gatherings and dinners.
  • Manage personal lifestyle tasks including calendar management and appointment scheduling.
  • Provide administrative support and process improvement for household tasks.

Requirements

  • Strong computer/technology acumen.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as an estate or house manager, executive or personal assistant, or chief of staff for private families or executives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
