About the position
As the Executive Producer of Market Day Coverage at Yahoo Finance, you will lead the creative direction and production of video content across multiple platforms, including streaming and podcasts. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of Yahoo Finance's video content, driving business impact, and delivering high-quality stories that engage and inform our audience. You will work closely with a talented team and collaborate with various departments to ensure the content resonates with diverse audiences and adheres to the highest standards of excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead a creative team to pitch, produce, and edit original and re-edited content for various channels.
- Partner with the Senior Director of Programming to drive an SEO-first strategy that maximizes reach and engagement.
- Innovate content creation processes to set new standards for producing, distributing, and consuming financial news.
- Build repeatable, scalable segments that enhance live day programming and VOD offerings.
- Manage the day-to-day budget and operations of the project.
- Develop and manage timelines for content production.
- Collaborate with studio, text, podcasts, marketing, data, and sales teams for cross-functional planning.
Requirements
- 5+ years of producing and programming experience within a news media outlet, preferably digital media.
- Previous experience in a leadership role is essential.
- Refined knowledge of current SEO practices and techniques.
- Hands-on experience with CMS and digital publishing tools.
- Proven track record of producing and optimizing video for digital platforms, including O&O and OTT.
- Exceptional leadership skills to inspire a team and deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines.
- Strong understanding of SEO, social platforms, and audience engagement strategies.
